CANDLE CARE

INTERESTING NOTE

Air bubbles on candles in clear glass vessels is a term called “Pull away”. What happens is, after the wax has been poured into a vessel and cools down, it will slightly shrink. This causes the wax to pull away very slightly from the vessel wall. This gap is actually quite small. In fact, it is no larger than a hair. However, the glass can act as a magnifier, creating an illusion of an air bubble. Once you light your candle and it warms back up, these bubbles will start to disappear. Therefore, there’s no need to worry about the pull away.

HOW TO BURN YOUR CANDLES

Our Coconut wax blend is all-natural, organic, eco-friendly and sustainable with lead-free wicks that burn clean and at a cool temperature providing you with a longer burn time.

To ensure you get the most out of your candle, trim your:

  • Cottonwood Wicks- trimmed down to 1/4” height above the wax.
  • Wooden Wicks- should be trimmed to 1/8” above the wax, or just break off the burned portion of the wick prior to reuse.

Trimming your wick prior to use will aid in avoiding smoking, overheating and soot (black residue) from forming in your vessel.  Once the flame is ignited make sure the wick is upright and centered. *CocoMo Creations has pre-trimmed your wick. Therefore, your candle will be ready for its first burn.

Every burn of your candle should be long enough for the entire top layer of wax to liquefy (approximately 2/3hrs).  This will ensure an even burn for each light.  Refrain from burning candles longer than 4 hours at a time, and never burn a candle when there is less than ¼” of wax at the base.

Always protect the surface on which the candle sits. Candles should never be burned unattended.

HOW TO STORE YOUR CANDLES

When your candle isn't in use, store in a cool dry place and cover it with a candle lid.

Storing candles for too long can affect the scent, so use your candle in a reasonable amount of time to make the most of the wonderful fragrance.
